Yerevan – The Government of Moscow will be a partner of the 23rd World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2019) in Yerevan, Armenia. Moscow leads globally in the United Nation’s E-Government Survey, with the latest digital solutions designed by companies from Moscow already helping to solve many problems and address the most important challenges faced by contemporary cities.
The Government of Moscow will have a pavilion at WCIT 2019, to share its experience in digital development with other cities through detailed information on the latest IT solutions and innovation programs of the city. The pavilion will have three zones, City, Business, and Innovation, each representing different sectors of technological development.
In the City Zone, representatives of the Moscow government and the United Nations Development Program will host workshops on the best uses of information technology in urban life.
The Business zone will introduce the latest IT solutions designed by Moscow-based companies. These solutions are integrated into comprehensive theme-specific portfolios able to meet the challenges that contemporary cities are facing: Smart People, Smart Government, Smart Living, Smart Mobility, Smart Economy, and Smart Security.
The Innovation Zone, for its part, will host the first international presentation of the Moscow Innovation Cluster, showcasing the city's innovation programs.

This year, WCIT will address The Power of Decentralization: Promise and Peril and explore how information and communications technology is transforming our lives for better and for worse, and its impact on profits and prosperity, safety and security, democracy and humanity.
WCIT 2019 will be held in Yerevan on October 6-9, 2019. The Congress is hosted by Armenia with the support and under the high patronage of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) was established by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA). Its main organizing body is the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE).
